God’s Design

  • He Rested and Was Refreshed

Right in the middle of the tabernacle instructions, God pauses to remind Israel about the Sabbath. And He says something worth sitting with: on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed. God built rest into the rhythm of creation. The Sabbath was not just a rule. It was a sign, something that marked His people as belonging to a God who provides enough in six days that you don’t need the seventh. Today’s devotional is about what it actually means to trust God enough to stop.
