God Works for Good

  • Better, Not Bitter

Joseph didn’t deserve what happened to him. He was seventeen, hadn’t done anything wrong, and his brothers sold him into slavery. He had every reason to be bitter. But the Bible never records him complaining — not in the pit, not in prison. He had understood something most people spend a lifetime reaching: God intends our hardship for better, not bitter. Today’s devotional is for anyone who is in danger of letting an unfair thing make them bitter.
