Genesis 41

  • God’s Plan Is Bigger

When Joseph was seventeen and shared his dream, he probably imagined it was about his family. He had no idea that God was positioning him to feed nations. “All the countries came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph because the famine was severe throughout the world.” The scale was nothing like what he imagined. Today’s devotional is a reminder that what God is building in and through your life is probably bigger than you think — and He always finishes what He starts.

  • The Pit Before the Palace

The cup-bearer forgot about Joseph for two years. Two more years in prison. And when Pharaoh finally called him, Joseph had every opportunity to make himself look indispensable. Instead he said: “I cannot do it. But God will.” That kind of humility — in front of the most powerful man in the world — doesn’t develop in a palace. It develops in the pit. Today’s devotional is about what God builds in us through the seasons of waiting.
